Working for No More Landmines
Current Trustee Vacancies
No More Landmines is a UK based charity that raises funds to free communities throughout the world from the threat of unexploded weapons of war. Working in partnership we are able to direct resources to the areas in most need and where intervention produces the maximum benefit. In addition, to funding humanitarian de-mining, No More Landmines supports Survivor Assistance and Mine Risk Education Programmes.
We wish to build on our success and as part of our overall development plan, we will be introducing a series of new activities looking at the broader implications of threats posed by military waste.
We welcome applications from those who believe that they have the skills, knowledge and/or experience of delivering strategic aims and objectives. Specialist knowledge in one of the following areas would be an advantage:
Human Resources, Strategic Fundraising, Financial Management, Administrative Law, Public Relations or hold a Senior Management post in a charity.
Trustees attend four daytime Board meetings a year in London and serve on at least one Board Committee which will be introduced during the course of 2008. It is expected that these committees will meet no more than twice a year.
In addition, trustees are expected to attend an annual Planning Conference weekend at the end of September, and participate in at least one training and/or strategy day during the year. The role is unpaid but reasonable expenses are reimbursed.
If you wish to discuss the role please speak with the Director, Neil Morrans on 020 7471 5581.
